I have been a Nottinghamshire Conservative County Councillor for over 10 years. In that time I have had senior positions on a number of Committees including Economic Development and Joint Strategic Transport and Planning Planning. I am presently Chair of Communities and Place Review and Development Committee. And I am privileged to have been appointed Elected Member Equalities Champion within Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC)
I have developed strong links with the the Heads and School Councils of the Primary Schools within my Division. It has been wonderful to welcome the young people into County Hall (pre Covid) and on trips to the Houses of Parliament. And I have supported a number of successful initiatives such as Pedestrian crossings outside Schools. Through the Councillors Divisional Fund I have been able to provide financial support for gardening clubs, play equipment and a lot more.
I thoroughly enjoy working within the community by supporting centres for the elderly, local good causes, liaising with residents and NCC partners through Local Area Forums. I endeavour to respond to enquiries from constituents, on the same day and then keep them fully informed.
If I am successful in the NCC elections in 2021, it will be an honour to serve the residents of West Bridgford West for a further four years, as their Conservative County Councillor.
